Having flown in from Yellowknife, Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived at their final Canadian destination of Alberta on Wednesday afternoon (July 6).
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had quite the sobering experience upon touching down in the locale - as they visited a part of town in Slave Lake which was devastated by fire back in May of this year.
Curiously looking at and touching charred remains of automobiles, William and Kate were escorted through the rubble by local officials and young residents during the course of the visit.
With the stop marking the first time any member of the British Royal Family has been to the area, the newlyweds have brighter experiences on the horizon - as they're scheduled to help commence the 2011 Calgary Stampede, the world?s largest rodeo celebration attracting 1.3 million visitors.
