Viola Davis Hosts Rape Treatment Center Fundraiser

Lending her time to help benefit a more than worthwhile cause, Viola Davis hosted the Rape Treatment Center Brunch at Greenacres, the home of Ron Burkle, in Beverly Hills, CA on Sunday (October 14).

The Tony award-winning actress looked flawless in a belted pink frock and strappy heels as she welcomed fellow celebrity attendees like David Schwimmer and Sophia Bush before honoring the guest of honor, Norman Lear.

Viola originally started her work with the organization after she portrayed a rape victim counselor in the movie, ?Trust,? which was directed by former "Friends" actor, David Schwimmer, who now joins Davis as a board member.

According to it?s website, the RTC, which is located at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center, was originated back in the 70?s when a young woman attempted suicide after being raped and felt she had nowhere to turn. After this incident, it ?was the last time that a rape victim in Los Angeles had no place to turn for help.?
