It’s official, the Cee-Lo song “Forget You” (also known as “F— You”), is un-ruinable. Just about anyone can cover it and the end result will still be a catchy, perfect pop song. Case in point: we liked Gwyneth Paltrow’s version, and we are staunchly anti-Paltrow. To further prove that the song is incorruptible, Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless performed their version of it on BBC Radio 1 this weekend and shockingly enough, it’s pretty great too! Take a listen for yourself. Of course, all we could think while we were listening to this was “It must be killing Taylor right now to sing the censored version of this song.” But if there’s a lesson to be learned here, it’s that Taylor sounds great when she censors herself.
