Courteney Cox and David Arquette may just be going through the nicest breakup in Hollywood history. The pair have reunited on many occasions since they announced they were going their separate ways, and they continue to be just lovely when talking about each other to the press.
At Tuesday's Scream 4 premiere in New York, Arquette gushed about Cox's work in their new film. "I'm her biggest fan. I love what she brings to this role; there's such a badass in her," Arquette told People.com.
The actor, who just celebrated 100 days sober, says working with Cox continues to be an excellent experience for him. "We had a great time," he said. "We're really supportive and loving and kind to each other, so that's really what's important."
The couple (who's been married for 11 years) plays the now-married characters Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers in the horror film, and Arquette says he cherished the chance to work closely with his estranged wife.
"I loved acting opposite Courteney," he said. "We don't have that opportunity a lot, and it's a different way of working together. We have so much fun."
Though they are still separated, Arquette, 39, and Cox, 46, continue to be the best parents they can be to their 6-year-old daughter, Coco. They even took her to Disney World together just last week!
"We're still in the same situation that we were before, and nothing's really changed. But we're really being kind and supportive of each other," Arquette says. "If anybody's going through a situation like this, that's the way to deal with it. If you bring resentment toward it, or use kids or finances or any negative behavior, it tends to make the whole process a lot more difficult, and it's difficult already ... She's my best friend, so that's really it."
