Celebrating their recent nuptials, Katy Perry and Russell Brand were spotted leaving for their honeymoon in India earlier today (October 25).
The newlyweds grabbed a departing flight and headed off to the Maldives where they?ll start their marriage with some rest and relaxation.
Over the weekend, Katy and Russell said ?I Do? in a lavish ceremony in India, with all the bells and whistles of a traditional Indian wedding.
Their rep reported, "Russell Brand and Katy Perry are overjoyed to confirm that they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23. The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples' closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India."
